Ekal Vidyalaya

These films were shot as short commercials for Ekal Vidyalaya, an organization focused on basic literacy and mathematics. We travelled to Kerala and shot in some lush villages near Munnar. Ratan and Murali, our brilliant art directors made us a beautiful giant book that we somehow carried with us to Kerala. I am still not sure how it made the journey! Casting the children was a pure joy. We had the boys race down the road and observed each girl as they held an empty water berthen on their heads. Daniel Boddu heightened the entire level of the film with his music. It is such a joy to work with him in the sound studio, he just really gets it.
